NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME UNIT
The college is planning to have this unit very shortly.
SPORTS
The college will introduce Badminton court and table tennis shortly. The Carrom boards and Chess Board will be provided to the students.
ENVIRONMENTAL UNIT
The college is going to establish an en.-o" mental UNIT in order to prepare the students to launch a comprehensive movement aga nst the pollution and degradation of environment.
TO SAVE THE MOTHER EARTH IS THE SOLE objective of the movement. The management will co.opt. some of the enviromertal experts under the chairmanship of the Principal. The students of the college will be sent to local communities to create awareness in respect of the need and protection of environment.
CULTURAL AND MUSICAL PROGRAMMES
The College is holding cultural programmes and musical concerts every month. The search of talents is the basic theme of such programmes. The deserving students are sent by the colleges to participate in the competrons organised by the university and other colleges.
PRACTICUM (PRACTICE OFTEACHING)
A suitable programme for practice of teaching is drawn by the college authorities every year and it is compulsory for every student to undergo this proramme. The practice is organised and conducted in the schools which are located in the vicinity of the college. The students are divided into groups and every group has to work under the guidance of a college teacher. This practice is continued for a period of three weeks. All efforts are made by the teaching staff to ensure that the students are provided this opportunity in ideal conditions. The people teachers work as internees in the respective schools, the record of which is also maintained.
PLANNING UNIT
The college has planning unit working under the guidance of the principal. This unit particularly prepares policies in relation to introduction of various educational activities, holding of seminars and symposia and other co-curricular and semi-curricular activities in order to achieve overall development and growth of the students keeping in view the location of the college and needs of rural and suburban population. The activities are planned in such a way as may provide the opportunities to introduce new technologies in the field of education.
